Saves $36 in salary - massive cap relief. Replaces Hader ($34 RP) with Hunter Brown ($15 SP, 766.3 FPTS, 19.58 projection) who is one of the best young SPs in baseball. Austin Wells ($11) provides a solid catcher upgrade over the declining Rutschman situation (can platoon or replace). Bobby Miller ($8) has been terrible and is essentially a throw-in. Net effect: elite SP acquisition, catcher help, and huge salary savings.
Why Honey Nut Chourio Would Accept
Honey Nut Chourio gets Josh Hader, the premier closer in fantasy (433-461 FPTS annually, 28 saves, $34). They currently lack a true elite closer (Jeremiah Estrada and Bryan Abreu are good but not Hader-tier). Bobby Miller ($8) is a reclamation project with SP upside for a team that can afford the gamble. They have SP depth to spare Brown and Wells is expendable with William Contreras at C.
